May 2nd Friday Afternoon by ~Schazmen:iconSchazmen:

May 2nd, 2008 17.25, Friday

As I was walking down the street towards the bus-station, I noticed an old lady with a bag of groceries and a stick about to cross the street at a crossroads. The lights were green for her and therefore red for any vehicles on that road. The streets were almost empty, which was rather strange for the time.
As the old lady started to cross, I heard a loud roar coming from down the road and turned to see what the source was for the sound.
Down the road was coming a beautiful silver Mercedes convertible. The driver was between 20 and 30 years old, based on the fact that he disregarded the traffic lights and the speed limit for the road.
When he neared the crossroads, the old lady was right in front of him. To avoid a collision (most likely he didn´t want to ruin the cars paint-job) he slammed the brakes and the car screeched to a halt a mere meter away from the old lady.
– Hey watch were your going, you old hag! the driver bellowed at the old lady.
The lady didn´t seem to be shocked or afraid of the fact that she was nearly run over. She did seem a bit angry, though, of the rudeness of the driver, and simply swung her bag of groceries in the air, making a full circle, and slamming it on the hood and nose of the car, making big dents.
Everybody, about 20 people, me including, who saw this, roared with laughter. The driver was absolutely shocked (probably because of the fact that someone actually hurt his car) and just sat back down.
As the lady reached the other side of the road, I walked up to her and asked what she had in the bag that could make such a huge dent.
Her answer: 20 cans of tuna.
Everybody roared with laughter again.

Wow, it really happened?

It sort of reminded me about a YouTube video where someone stopped at a crossing and waited for an old lady to cross the road. She was slow to react and started to walk really slowly across the road. The driver was very impatient and kept tooting the horn for her to hurry up. Then, when she was halfway across the road, she turned around and slammed the front of the car with her bag. It was so hard that the airbag blew up in front of the driver's face. :D

Anyway, :+fav: because it reminded me so much of that really funny video. Though I admit 20 cans of tuna is quite a bagful to make such a huge impact on the car. Did you know whether she had to pay for the damage or not?

I don´t think she did. After all, she did have about 20 witnesses to her near-death-experience. ;)

That's good. I wouldn't want her to pay for all the trouble she got from an idiot in a Mercedes. Sorry to all Merc owners.
